Postpartum

The transition to parenthood is one of the most significant psychological and emotional transformations a person can experience. Alongside love and joy, many parents encounter anxiety, grief, overwhelm, relationship strain, and a version of themselves they do not yet recognize. These experiences are often far more common than we are led to believe. Therapy can provide a space to make sense of these changes, strengthen your support system, and navigate this season with greater self compassion and understanding.

What to expect from Postpartum therapy...

The transition to parenthood is one of the most profound transformations a person can experience. While it can be filled with joy, wonder, and love, it can also bring anxiety, grief, overwhelm, identity shifts, relationship challenges, and unexpected emotional pain.

Many new parents are surprised by the intensity of this season. You may find yourself mourning parts of your old life, struggling to recognize yourself, feeling disconnected from your partner, or wondering why everyone else seems to be handling parenthood more easily than you are.

You are not failing.

You are navigating a life altering transition.

Therapy can provide a space to process the emotional realities of postpartum life, strengthen your support system, reconnect with yourself, and develop the tools needed to care for both your baby and your own wellbeing.

Specialized Training and Experience

I have received advanced training in Perinatal Mental Health through Postpartum Support International and completed more than 2,000 hours of supervised training in perinatal mental health. My work is informed by attachment theory, trauma informed care, psychodynamic therapy, and evidence based approaches to treating perinatal mood and anxiety disorders.

Therapy That Meets You Where You Are

I understand that finding support during the postpartum period can feel overwhelming. I offer virtual therapy throughout California and provide a warm, collaborative space where you can speak honestly about your experience without judgment.

You do not need to enjoy every moment of parenthood.

You do not need to have all the answers.

You do not need to navigate this season alone.

Parenthood changes us. Therapy can help you understand who you are becoming.
