About Therapy for Mamas and Papas

Therapy for Mamas and Papas was born from the deep personal understanding that taking care of parents is taking care of the world. Parenting is not for the faint of heart. There is no PTO and no sick days. We have to roll with whatever life, a toddler or a teen, may throw at us, often at the most inopportune times. When I became a mother, I also became painfully aware of the lack of support for parents. I created Therapy for Mamas and Papas to provide a non-judgemental space to process the ups and downs of parenthood as well as receive trusted, evidenced based guidance to steward your child through this critical life phase. Whatever phase you may be in on your parenting journey, you don't have to do it alone. Therapy for Mamas and Papas is here to help.
Approach to Therapy
My approach is rooted in empathy, respect, and collaboration. I believe in tailoring therapy to meet the unique needs of each individual, utilizing evidence-based practices to promote healing and well-being. Together we will map the narrative of your parenting values, hopes and fears. Then we will review areas for growth and discuss tools you can use day to day to support your own emotional well being as well as that of your children. Parenting can feel like a mystery of trial and error, but it doesn't have to be. Together we will empower you to feel like the confident parent you were meant to be.
